A spectacular acropolis featuring the remains of the Doric temple of Athena Lindia from the 4th century BC, perched on a cliff 116 meters above the small coastal town of Lindos. It combines ancient Greek ruins with the walls of the Knights of St. John and offers breathtaking views of the sea and the bay. Located 55 km from the city of Rhodes.
The ticket is purchased at the entrance to the acropolis. The steps to the top are steep — comfortable footwear is recommended. A morning visit is essential in summer due to the intense heat and crowds. Donkeys as transport to the top are available for an additional fee.
