A small stone church nestled within the old town of Himara, it forms part of a network of historic Orthodox sanctuaries for which Himara is known. Its simple architecture featuring stone walls, a domed roof, and a wooden iconostasis is typical of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine period (15th–17th century). Its position among the stone houses of the old town offers insight into the older layer of the local Greek Orthodox community that has lived in Himara for centuries. It is an active place of worship, with liturgy held several times a year. Entrance is free when open (often locked outside of services — seek out the local caretaker who holds the key).
Entrance to the church is free. Modest clothing is recommended when visiting.
