The museum holds finds from the site of ancient Neapolis — the predecessor of Kavala — as well as objects from Amphipolis, Philippi, and the surrounding Thracian necropolises. The collection includes sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, and funerary finds ranging from prehistory to the Roman period. The building is located in the city center.
The museum is closed on Tuesdays. Tickets are purchased at the entrance. There is an option for a combined ticket with the archaeological site of Philippi.
