Aristotelous Agora and Roman Forum

In the central part of Thessaloniki lie two important city spaces from different eras. The Roman Forum from the 1st century AD was the administrative and commercial center of the ancient city, while Aristotelous Square is today the main city square and one of the most recognizable gathering places in Thessaloniki. At the forum site, remains of a stoa, an odeon, and underground passages have been preserved.
