The only natural river island in Slovenia, atop which stands a 17th-century Baroque church with the famous wishing bell. By tradition, the groom carries the bride up 99 steps and rings the bell so their wish may be granted. The island is reached by a traditional boat called a pletna.
Island admission (6 EUR) is paid separately from the pletna boat ride (approximately 15–18 EUR return per person). The ride takes about 30 minutes each way. The church commands a view over the lake from 99 steps.
