Boyana Church is a medieval Orthodox church located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is renowned for its frescoes from 1259, which are considered one of the most significant achievements of medieval European painting. To protect the artworks, the number of visitors inside the church is limited.
Advance reservation is required as the number of visitors is limited to 8 people per group at 10-minute intervals. Tickets can be purchased online on the museum website. Photography inside the church is prohibited.
