A spacious botanical garden above Funchal with panoramic views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. It is home to several thousand species of plants from Madeira, Africa, South America and Asia, including exotic flowers, palms and succulents. A walk along the well-kept paths through the themed gardens offers a blend of nature, photogenic viewpoints and one of the most beautiful views of Funchal Bay.
The ticket includes access to the entire garden with more than 2500 plant species. Arriving before noon is recommended to avoid crowds.
