A small mountain settlement above Como, reached by a historic funicular dating from 1894. From the viewpoints at around 715 meters above sea level, panoramic views stretch across Lake Como, the surrounding Alps, and on clear days, all the way to Milan.
A return ticket on the funicular costs around 7 EUR. The funicular departs every 30 minutes from the center of Como. From Brunate, it is possible to continue on walking trails to the San Maurizio lighthouse for an even better view.
