Budva Ballerina

Budva Ballerina

A bronze figure of a ballerina on a rock beneath the walls of the old town is one of Budva's most recognizable sights. The slender dancer, with arms outstretched, faces the sea and the island of Sveti Nikola, while from the shore around her the views open up toward Mogren beach and the city ramparts. The statue was created based on the story of a girl who waited for a sailor, and has become a favorite spot for photographs, especially in the golden light before sunset. A seaside promenade running beneath the very walls of the old town leads to it.
