An ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage Site located just 4 km from Ksamil, with remains of Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian civilizations. It encompasses an amphitheater, temples, city walls, a basilica, and Venetian towers within a lush national park. It is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Balkans.
Tickets are purchased at the park gate; the combined ticket includes the ferry across the Butrint River. Arriving in the morning is recommended when it is cooler and less crowded, and the visit takes 2–3 hours.
