Buža Bar

A bar carved directly into the rock of Dubrovnik's city walls, at a spot where there was once an opening in the wall used by the fishing community of the Old Town. A pool chiseled into the natural rock sits at an elevation of about 10 meters, and cliff jumping into the sea has been a long-standing local tradition. The name comes from the dialectal word 'buža' — meaning hole — which describes the passage through the wall used to enter.
