Calton Hill is one of the most famous viewpoints in Edinburgh, located just a few minutes' walk from the city centre. From the top, there is a panoramic view of the Old Town, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat, and the Firth of Forth. The site is home to the Nelson Monument and the National Monument inspired by the Parthenon, which is why Calton Hill is considered one of the most recognisable symbols of the city. Thanks to its easy access and open vistas, it is one of the best places to photograph Edinburgh.
