A charming fishing village west of Funchal, known for its colorful harbor filled with traditional wooden boats. It was here that Winston Churchill, during his stay on Madeira, painted landscapes that inspired him. Along the waterfront there are restaurants and bars where you can try poncha, a local drink made from rum, honey, and lemon, while the relaxed atmosphere makes the village a pleasant place for a stroll and a rest by the sea.
Câmara de Lobos is a picturesque fishing village and viewpoint free to visit. A visit during the morning hours is recommended to avoid crowds and enjoy the view of the sea and surrounding cliffs.
