A Gothic monumental cemetery building next to Piazza dei Miracoli, whose gallery houses Roman sarcophagi and 14th-century frescoes, including the famous 'Triumph of Death'. The soil within the complex was reportedly brought from the Holy Land during the Crusades. Bomb damage from 1944 was removed through years of restoration.
Entry is available with a combined ticket with the baptistery and cathedral. Photography without flash is permitted. Smaller crowds in the late afternoon hours.
