Kapetanski Park Viewpoint

A historic city park along the Zadar city walls, overlooking the old town, the harbor, and the surrounding islands. A quieter spot for a break and a sunset than the most-visited parts of the waterfront (such as the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun). The park is situated on part of the old fortifications — from here you get an unusual angle on the Zadar peninsula, from a vantage point that most tourists skip. Pine trees and green areas provide shade during the day, and in the early evening the park becomes a gathering place for local families and couples. Access is free, with no tourist infrastructure — just benches and open space.
