Four Bell Towers of Rab

Four Bell Towers of Rab

Four Romanesque bell towers built between the 11th and 13th centuries form the most recognizable visual identity of the island of Rab. The tallest and oldest is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Great, standing around 26 meters high, which can be climbed for an additional fee. The other three — the bell towers of the churches of St. Andrew, St. John, and St. Justine — offer a contrast of diverse Romanesque styles within a small area.
