A small Orthodox church within the walls of the old town fortress of Himara. Although modest in appearance from the outside, inside it conceals beautiful painted frescoes on the iconostasis depicting saints and the Virgin Mary. The church is partly poorly preserved due to moisture, but the frescoes are authentic and date from the Ottoman period. From the terrace in front of the church, the view over Himara Bay is spectacular.
An old Byzantine church open for visits free of charge. A visit during the morning hours is recommended, when the church is open to worshippers.
