Agia Sofia Church

A Byzantine church from the 8th century, inspired by the famous Hagia Sophia in Constantinople. It is known for its exceptional mosaics, among which the depiction of the Ascension of Christ in the dome particularly stands out. It is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of the most significant monuments of Byzantine architecture in Greece.
