Church and Museum of Saint Barbara

A small 15th-century church, a dozen meters from the cathedral, begun by the Šibenik nobleman Radoslav Mihetić and completed by his son Ambroz; it was originally dedicated to Saint Benedict. Today it houses a church museum with paintings from the 13th to the 18th century, including a Hodegetria Madonna from the late 13th century, works by Bonino of Milan and Horatio Forteza, baroque wooden angels, and votive offerings from sailors. It is easily missed as it stands in the shadow of the cathedral.
