A small 14th-century church carved into the rock, known for its exceptionally well-preserved Byzantine frescoes considered to be the pinnacle of late Byzantine painting. The interior is modest in size, but the frescoes cover nearly every centimeter of the walls and vault.
Entrance included in the combined site ticket. The church is located in the lower part of the site, near the lower gate.
