Church of Saint Catherine

The small late-Gothic church of St Catherine stands in the very centre of Corvara, beneath the Sassongher pyramid. The interior is adorned with frescoes covering the walls and apse, and it houses the only Gothic winged altar in the Badia Valley. In winter, with snow on the roof and the Sassongher rising behind the bell tower, this is the most photographed sight in the village.
