One of the most significant Byzantine churches in the Balkans, built in the 11th century on the foundations of an early Christian basilica. The interior is adorned with an exceptional collection of frescoes from the 11th and 12th centuries, which rank among the most valuable in the world. The church is under UNESCO protection as part of the Ohrid Heritage.
Admission is paid on-site. A morning visit is recommended for better lighting of the frescoes. Photography is allowed.
