Church of St. Donatus

A pre-Romanesque church from the 9th century and one of the most recognizable symbols of Zadar. It was built on the remains of a Roman forum, and today serves as an exhibition and concert space thanks to its exceptional acoustics. Its circular form and simple stone architecture make it one of the most significant monuments of the early Middle Ages on the eastern Adriatic coast.
