Church of Saint Nicholas (Schei)

Church of Saint Nicholas (Schei)

The Church of Saint Nicholas is one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Brașov, located in the historic Romanian quarter of Schei on Piața Unirii square. Originally built in wood, it was expanded in stone over the centuries, incorporating Gothic, Baroque, and Byzantine elements along with a tall bell tower. Adjacent to the church is the Museum of the First Romanian School, and together they form the center of Romanian history and culture in the city.
