St. Peter's Church

St. Peter's Church

A church on a site where a place of worship has stood since the 9th century, notable for its tower with four clock faces dating from 1538. At 8.7 metres in diameter, it is the largest church clock face in Europe. The current nave was consecrated in 1706 as the first church built in Zurich after the Reformation. Until 1911, the tower served as the city's fire lookout post.
