Church of Saint Sava

The Church of Saint Sava is a small medieval church in the old town of Budva, right along the walls near the Citadel. It was probably built in the Middle Ages and throughout history served both the Orthodox and Catholic communities of the city. The modest stone structure with remnants of frescoes bears witness to the layered religious past of Budva, and it is easily visited as part of a walk through the old town center, alongside the nearby churches of Santa Maria and the Holy Trinity.
