Church of Saint Thomas

Church of Saint Thomas

The Church of Saint Thomas is the main Protestant church of Strasbourg, often referred to as the Protestant cathedral of Alsace. It is renowned for its famous Silbermann organ, on which Albert Schweitzer himself played, as well as for the monumental mausoleum of Marshal de Saxe. Its spacious Gothic interior and rich musical tradition make it a significant cultural and religious landmark of the city, distinct in character from the Catholic cathedral.
