Cuevas de Nerja

The cave system, discovered in 1959, extends over more than four kilometers, of which about one kilometer is open to visitors. The caves contain large halls with stalactites and stalagmites, as well as archaeological findings that testify to human presence as far back as prehistory. In one of the largest halls, Sala del Ballet, concerts and cultural events are held today.
