Et'hem Bey Mosque

Et'hem Bey Mosque

An Ottoman mosque from the late 18th and early 19th century, located next to Skanderbeg Square. The interior is adorned with rich fresco decoration featuring motifs of trees, waterfalls, and bridges — an unusual theme for Islamic sacred architecture. During communism it was closed for religious worship, and was reopened in 1991.
