Edinburgh Castle

A castle on the volcanic rock of Castle Rock and one of the most important historical landmarks in Scotland. Within its walls stand St Margaret's Chapel, the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh, the Scottish Crown Jewels, and military museums. The esplanade and the walls offer excellent views of the city, and every day except Sunday the tradition of the One O'Clock Gun is performed.
