A free rooftop terrace at the top of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi building (formerly the headquarters of German merchants in Venice, today the luxury shopping center T Fondaco) near the Rialto Bridge. From the terrace you get one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Venice — the city's rooftops, the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, and the domes of the Basilica di San Marco in the distance. Access is possible only with a prior time slot reservation (approximately 15-minute slots), free of charge through the official website. Recommendation: book a slot around sunset for the best lighting. A limited number of visitors per slot ensures a peaceful experience.
The ticket for the rooftop (observation deck) must be booked in advance online — free reservation is mandatory and spots fill up quickly. The visit lasts about 15 minutes in a designated time slot.
