Franciscan Monastery with Museum

A 15th-century Franciscan monastery is situated on a peaceful cape west of Hvar's town center, surrounded by pine trees and the sea. Within the monastery there is a museum housing a valuable collection of paintings, manuscripts, old books, and cartographic documents. Particularly notable is the monumental 16th-century painting of the Last Supper, one of the most significant works of art on Hvar. From the monastery, there is a beautiful view of Hvar harbor and the nearby Pakleni Islands.
