Main Meteora Viewpoint

The Main Meteora Viewpoint is one of the rare positions from which you can simultaneously take in a wide view of the Meteora rock formations and several of the most famous monasteries. Access is easy - it is located directly along the main road through Meteora, so no hiking is required. The viewpoint is especially popular at sunset, when the rocks turn orange and the monasteries stand out as silhouettes. The viewpoint has no protective railing, so caution with children and near the edge is essential.
