Glacial Mill at Binderloh

Glacial Mill at Binderloh

Stone potholes carved during the Ice Age by meltwater and the rocks it spun beneath glaciers — a natural monument in the middle of town. This one sits behind the Haus Austria building, next to the municipal car park, in an area called Binderloh. Most visitors walk straight past without realising it is there, even though it lies right in the town centre. The sight is geological rather than scenic: smoothly ground rock that shows just how far the ice once reached.
