Upper Barrakka Gardens

16th-century gardens set on the bastions above the Grand Harbour. From the terraces, you can see Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua, as well as ships entering the harbour. Below the gardens lies the Saluting Battery, where a ceremonial cannon is fired daily at noon and at 4 p.m.

Entry to the gardens is free. A separate ticket of around 3 EUR is charged for visiting the Saluting Battery (the cannon platform below the gardens). The cannon is fired at exactly noon and at 4 PM.
