Our Lady of Loreto

A seventeen-metre-tall monument to the Virgin Mary rises on a hill above Primošten, visible from afar — from the sea and from the coastal highway. A short path leads to it from the old town, or it can be reached by car, and from the plateau there is one of the widest views of the Primošten peninsula, the surrounding coves, and the open sea. The evening hour is a special moment, when the setting sun bathes the stone rooftops of the old town and the vineyards of the hinterland in golden light.
