Piran City Walls

Medieval defensive walls rising above the old town, offering one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Slovenian coast. Most of the current walls date from the period between the 15th and 16th centuries, when Piran was under Venetian rule. The walkway along the walls offers panoramic views of the narrow streets of the old town, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding hills.

Tickets are purchased on-site at the entrance to the walls. The walk along the walls takes about 30 minutes and includes several viewing platforms. Shoes with good soles are recommended as the surface is uneven.
