City Museum of Rab

City Museum of Rab

Housed in the 15th-century Nimira Palace in the heart of the old town, the museum preserves a lapidary (collection of stone inscriptions), finds from ancient sites, and objects documenting island life from prehistory to the 20th century. Particularly noteworthy are the Roman stelae from the site of Felix Arba, the ancient Roman name for Rab. The permanent exhibition is compact and can be viewed in about an hour.
