Gran Vía

Gran Vía

The main avenue of Madrid, built in the early 20th century as a major urban project connecting the historic center with the newer parts of the city. Along it stand Art Nouveau and Art Deco buildings, theaters, cinemas, shops and restaurants. The Metrópolis building at its start is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Madrid's architecture.
