Governor's Palace

The Governor's Palace was built between 1893 and 1896 according to the design of Hungarian architect Alajos Hauszmann as the residence of the Governor of Rijeka. This monumental historicist building today serves as the seat of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka. The museum collections present the maritime, cultural, and political history of Rijeka and the Kvarner region.
