Croatian National Theatre

A magnificent neo-baroque building from 1895 on the Republic of Croatia Square, designed by Viennese architects Fellner and Helmer. In front of the yellow facade stands the fountain 'Well of Life' by Ivan Meštrović, and inside is the center of Croatian opera, ballet and drama. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the Lower Town, whose lavish interior is also open to visitors.
