A 16th-century fortress built during Venetian rule, dominating the town of Hvar from the hilltop. It offers a spectacular panoramic view of the town, the harbor, and the Pakleni Islands. Inside the fortress there is a museum and a small vineyard.
The ticket is purchased at the fortress entrance. The ascent on foot takes about 15-20 minutes up steep stairs. A visit early in the morning or at sunset is recommended for a better view and less heat.
