A Roman Catholic cathedral from the 16th–17th century situated on the central square, one of the most important sacred buildings on the Adriatic. It was built on the foundations of an older Benedictine church and is distinguished by its Renaissance-Baroque architecture. The cathedral houses a valuable collection of ecclesiastical art.
Entry is free during religious services. A nominal fee may be charged for visits outside of service hours. Appropriate attire is recommended for the visit.
