A fortified town on a rock accessible only through a narrow passage from the mainland, hence the name 'one entrance'. Within the walls, Byzantine and Venetian houses, churches, and cobblestone streets are preserved, while the permanent population numbers only a few dozen. A visit involves walking through narrow car-free streets.
Entrance to the old town is free and open throughout the entire day. An early morning arrival before tourist groups is recommended.
