A Neo-Byzantine cathedral completed in the early 20th century, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the Balkans. Its golden dome is one of the most recognizable symbols of Sofia, while the crypt houses a significant collection of Orthodox icons and ecclesiastical art.
Entrance to the cathedral itself is free. The crypt with the icon collection charges around 6 EUR. The cathedral is open every day, with church services held on Sundays.
