Cathedral of St. James

Cathedral of St. James

The Cathedral of St. James was built from 1431 to 1535, and its construction was carried out entirely in stone, featuring remarkable technical solutions in the vaults and dome. On the frieze of the outer walls of the apses, there are 71 sculpted faces of men, women, and children — portraits of the people of Šibenik from that era. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000.
