St. John's Co-Cathedral

A Baroque cathedral built in the 16th century as the main church of the Order of Malta. It houses Caravaggio's work 'The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist', the only painting the artist ever signed. The floor of the church is made up of the tombstones of the knights of the order, while the walls and vaults are richly decorated with Baroque ornamentation.
