Kizilcukur (Red Valley)

Kizilcukur, also known as Red Valley, is one of the most recognizable valleys in Cappadocia, located northeast of Göreme. The name comes from the red-orange hues of the volcanic rock, which reach their most intense color at sunset, making the valley one of the most popular spots in the region for watching dusk. The canyon is part of the UNESCO-listed Göreme National Park complex. Several hiking trails of varying lengths run through the valley, which can be combined with a visit to Rose Valley.
