Sigmund-Thun Gorge

Sigmund-Thun Gorge

A gorge carved into the rock by the Kapruner Ache river — 320 metres long and over 30 metres deep. A wooden walkway winds through it along galleries and small bridges, right above the water, so the entire passage can be completed on foot and without any hiking experience. In the narrowest section, the roar of the water completely drowns out conversation. The path continues naturally to Klammsee lake, making it easy to extend the visit into a circular walk.
