A picturesque fishing town on the western coast of the island of Vis, with authentic Mediterranean architecture and the old 16th-century Kastil fortress. It is home to the Fishing Museum, which bears witness to the island's rich fishing tradition. One of the most photogenic harbors on the Adriatic.
Walking the town is free. The Fishery Museum in Kastil charges a nominal entrance fee (around 2 EUR). A visit at dusk is recommended for the golden light and colorful fishing boats.
